On August 1, 2008, Mac was hospitalized with what his publicist claimed was pneumonia. The next day, responding to rumors that the actor was in "very, very critical condition," his publicist said that he was responding well to treatment, and should be released soon.[6] On August 9, his publicist announced that Mac had died from complications of pneumonia unrelated to sarcoidosis
Mac also suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease, but he had said the condition went into remission in 2005. His publicist, Danica Smith, has said the pneumonia was unrelated to the sarcoidosis





Isaac Hayes
Isaac Lee Hayes, Jr.

(August 20, 1942 – August 10, 2008)

On August 10, 2008, Hayes' wife found him on the floor near a treadmill inside his home located just east of Memphis, Tennessee. A Shelby County, Tennessee sheriff's deputy responded to Hayes' home. He was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08pm, at the age of 65. The cause of death was not immediately known.
